• What is your license number, and is it in the company name on this contract?
• Does your license type fit this exact job?
• Will you pull the permit in your company's name?
• Can your insurer send me your liability and workers' comp certificates?
• Who will actually do the work? Are subs licensed?
• What's the payment schedule? Avoid large upfront deposits.
• Is the start date, finish date and full scope in writing?
• Will you give me lien releases from suppliers and subs?
• What warranty do you give, and is it in writing?
